Bio
Jay Saint-Jour is a litigation attorney with experience in personal injury, commercial disputes, and criminal defense. Jay is known for his thorough preparation, sharp advocacy, bringing a strategic, evidence-driven approach to every case and ability to uncover critical facts that drive favorable outcomes in both civil and criminal matters.
Jay earned his law degree from Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law. During law school, he served as Mr. Thurgood Marshall for the Student Bar Association and served in several leadership positions among the student body and student organizations.
Before becoming an attorney, Jay served as a Legal Investigator with the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office, where he conducted in-depth investigations in felony and misdemeanor cases involving capital murder, assault, theft, drug offenses, and domestic violence. In that role, he learned the entire scope and importance of investigative work. This hands-on experience gives Jay a distinct advantage as a trial lawyer because he understands how cases are built from the ground up and how evidence is developed, challenged, and presented.
That investigative foundation directly informs Jay’s work in personal injury litigation, where identifying liability, preserving evidence, and exposing inconsistencies is critical. He approaches injury cases with the mindset of an investigator by scrutinizing accident reports, medical records, surveillance footage, and witness statements to uncover what others miss and to position cases for maximum recovery. That same investigative skill set enhances his criminal defense practice by allowing him to dissect the State’s evidence, expose gaps and inconsistencies, challenge witness credibility, and develop defense strategies built on meticulous investigation and factual precision.
Jay’s experience includes representing clients in a wide range of personal injury matters, including motor vehicle collisions, premises liability, wrongful death, and catastrophic injury claims, as well as commercial and contract disputes involving businesses across multiple industries.
With a background in computer information systems, Jay brings a technical and analytical perspective to litigation, particularly in cases involving digital records, data-heavy discovery, and complex evidentiary issues. He is fluent in Creole and is committed to providing clear communication, strategic guidance, and relentless advocacy for his clients.
