Mark earned his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Political Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio and his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston.
He has a lifelong connection to the criminal justice system. After graduating from college, Mark interned under the Associate Judges of the 240th, 268th, 400th, and 434th District Courts in Fort Bend County. He then gained valuable experience working in the District Clerk’s Office, as a Case Worker for the Mental Health Public Defender’s Office, and as a Juvenile Probation Officer—all while attending law school. These roles gave him a comprehensive understanding of every level of the criminal justice system.
After becoming a licensed attorney, Mark began his legal career at the Fort Bend County Public Defender’s Office, where he worked until 2025. There, he gained extensive experience representing individuals in a wide range of criminal matters. He has represented clients from diverse backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, and belief systems. Mark has worked closely with—and litigated against—law enforcement officers, prosecutors, judges, probation officers, and court personnel to achieve favorable outcomes for his clients. He is known for saying that he is “saving and changing lives.”
In 2025, Mark chose to further expand his practice and experience by joining Rosen & Kovach Law Firm.
Outside the courtroom, Mark enjoys cooking with his competition team, Texas Ram Cooker Cookers, fishing, traveling, running 5Ks, and participating in local run clubs.
Mark has served in leadership roles with the Fort Bend County Criminal Defense Bar, including President (2023), Vice President (2022), Secretary (2021), and Treasurer (current). He is also a member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
