    Heroin Possession (Harris County)

    Client was charged with possession of over a kilo of a controlled substance (heroin) in Harris County, Texas, a first-degree felony offense with a punishment range of 5 to 99 years in prison. Client received a deferred adjudication for 10 years and did not receive any prison time for this offense.

    Aggravated Assault (Fort Bend County)

    Client was charged with aggravated assault after breaking a man’s jaw during a fist-fight in Fort Bend County, Texas. Client was charged with a second-degree felony, and faced 2 to 20 years in prison. The client received a Pre-Trial Diversion for 12 months and the case was eventually dismissed. Later, the client’s charge was expunged. The expungement required the State of Texas and the Federal Bureau of Investigation to destroy any and all documents and materials in reference to client’s criminal case.     Aggravated Robbery (Brazoria County)

    Client was charged with Aggravated Robbery in Brazoria County, Texas. Client faced 5 to 99 years in prison. At trial, the prosecution presented video evidence of the accused holding an armed gun to a game room attendant’s head. The Brazoria County Jury only gave the client 7 years in prison, despite the prosecution making a recommendation of 20 years during trial.
